Pray for Your Husband from Head to Toe

Standard

This year one of my goals (not resolutions…see previous post on that one) is to lift up my husband in prayer more often. This is a great guide. Thank you, Jennifer Flanders, for the Head to Toe idea. And I just have to say, I love the advice from Ruth Graham Bell of “tell your mate the positive, and tell God the negative.” Ouch…I usually do the complaining to my hubby….another goal to work on I guess.

Pray for Your Husband from Head to Toe | free printable from Loving Life at HomeRuth Bell Graham advises wives to “tell your mate the positive, and tell God the negative.” Take your concerns to God. Faithfully lift up your husband in prayer every day, and you will likely notice a transformation not only in him, but in yourself, as well.

Of course, we needn’t wait until there is some problem or disagreement before beginning this practice. A wife can and should routinely intercede on her husband’s behalf. Prayer should be a habit of life, something we do continuously and “without ceasing.” (1 Thessalonians 5:17)

There are many different daily, weekly or monthly plans available that can help make praying for your husband more systematic, but one of my favorites is praying for your spouse from head to toe. I heard about this concept several years ago. What follows is my own take on it, plus a free printable version you can use…

About jonicahope

Thankful for the redemptive blood of Jesus. Restoration is available but you have to be willing to make the hard decisions . I'm happily married with two great kids, Abby 9 years, and John Michael, 7. We've lived in Nixa for 10 years now, but I grew up in Marion/West Memphis Arkansas, and I wouldn't move back, NEVER! I'm 34 and I believe that I'm living the best time of my life. I love my family and cherish the times that we get to spend together. I love Jesus and I'm not ashamed. I'm proud to be an American and I feel that living in this great nation is a blessing and not a curse. I'm the only child and it shows. I struggle with a temper but praise God it's not as bad as it used to be. I'm learning to be teachable and pliable although some of those lessons aren't always fun. I'm learning to be a giver instead of a taker. I love to hear my children laugh and I especially love to hear them tell each other that they love each other. I'm very proud of my family and I know that I AM BLESSED!!!
